Our best selling top has always been the tunic. - Dotty

Our best selling top has always been the tunic.

When we launched our first tunic in 2018, NEVER did we think that it would be one of our best selling silhouettes. Time and time again, our customers look forward to seeing new colours and prints in their favourite, figure flattering cut. Dotty has perfected the style, with a centre back seam to flow away from your body and all over stretch for all over comfort.

The term “tunic” derives from the Latin word tunica, which described a garment that was worn by men and women in ancient Rome. The first tunic was worn around 800 BC and can be seen all around history- ancient Greece, India, Africa, etc.

Derived from history, we designed our tunics to flatter your already gorgeous body and highlight your favourite features of yourself. The split v-neck collar is oh-so flattering on the chest and gives a pop of your skin tone to tie the whole outfit in and not drown you in a shirt. It hits at the perfect spot- not too much cleavage, no turtleneck suffocating collar, just a cute, structured v-neck. The extra long sleeves and banded hemline w/ side slits adds to the whole tunic effect and makes it look classy. It’s not a droopy sweatshirt, not an expensive blouse you’re afraid to wear/waiting for the right occasion. It’s an elevated top that is so crazy versatile it’s ready when you are.

It’s a no brainer. Since we release new tunics relatively often in various colours, it’s easy-peasy to pair a dotty tunic with pants you already have in your closet. The extra booty coverage keeps you confident and un-bothered about what your backside looks like - the tunic is doing all the work don’t worry. So go ahead and wear those leggings, wear those jeans, wear that skirt. Dotty tunics will take care of the rest.

Feel like a million bucks wearing a tunic, and feel even better about your purchase knowing it’s supporting small Canadian businesses. From fabric to hanger, all our clothes will always be made with ethical manufacturing and sustainable practices in mind.
